Support Visa-Sponsored Immigrant NYC Nurses on Strike
NYSNA union nurses across New York City have been on strike since January 12th -without pay and without health insurance. Nurses are on the picket line every day fighting for a fair contract that ensures safe staffing, workplace violence protections, healthcare benefits and fair wages.
This hardship fund is specifically for immigrant visa-sponsored nurses. Their work authorization is tied to their employer, meaning they can’t legally take another job during the strike—and they don’t qualify for unemployment. While others may have a safety net, these nurses are being pushed to the edge.
Donations help cover essentials like rent and groceries so visa-sponsored nurses aren’t forced to cross the picket line out of desperation. Stand with the nurses who have been caring for New Yorkers—help us hold the line.
This fundraiser is organized by individual nurses and supporters. For the safety and privacy of all nurses, no individual names or employers are listed in this fundraiser.
