Vince Strickland, loving husband, father, and grandpa, has been diagnosed with Stage IV colon and liver invasive adenocarcinoma cancer. He is going to start chemo in October. We were told it will be a hard and long shot to get him in remission. We believe God is in control too. However, he has to go back and forth to Houston twice a week to get hooked up to his port for chemo and unhooked. If the chemo can shrink the 6 masses on the liver, he will then see a liver specialist for more procedures on his liver and a minimum of 6 months of chemo 3 days a week. He is such a trooper and because of finances, he is wanting to try to continue working to keep his health and life insurance. Of course, all of this is going to depend on how sick the chemo makes him as it has pretty hard and nasty side effects. They are selling almost everything they own to help with expenses. The chemo is expensive even with insurance at a cost of almost $30,000 a cycle and he has to have a minimum of 6 cycles or 12 rounds of chemo. We are setting up this fund to help cover loss of wages, medical expenses, travel back and forth to Houston, and monthly expenses. We really appreciate any amount you can spare. No amount is too small, and if you can’t financially donate, just offer prayers for healing. Help spread the word please.
