On Saturday, August 18, 2018, Steven Salazar was seriously injured when he was involved in an airplane accident, in Addison, Texas. He sustained multiple injuries including a shattered lumbar vertebra (L1), a compound fracture to his femur and tibia, as well as a broken heel.
