It's with a hopeful (yet heavy) heart that I'm asking for some financial help to get integrative cancer treatment. My options for pharmaceuticals are running out, and I've waited entirely too long to do this.

There's a place in Mexico call Hope4Cancer (H4C) and, despite the unfortunate name of the place (did they even have a roundtable discussion about it?), they are helping people fight cancer in the best ways! Once I'm there, they'll work for three solid weeks to create an environment in my body where cancer cannot survive. After three weeks, they'll send me home with ammo to continue with three months of modified treatment. I'll return to H4C twice within the year for follow up appointments.

I'm setting my gofundme goal at 100k. It feels like too much to ask for and at the same time, I'm hoping that it'll be enough. The cost of my treatment at H4C is almost 75k and that doesn't include airfare for myself or any companions I could have, or someone to house sit the cats, or that I won't have income for those weeks. I'm trying to consider everything without sounding entitled. Please don't give if you aren't able. So many of you have helped and continue to support me in so many other ways. I'm not sure I have words for how heavy and constricted my life feels right now. It's all consuming to live with stage IV cancer. Like, ALL CONSUMING. It's hard to make space in my brain for anything else.

And still...I'm relishing every moment with Keplar and Lachlan. You wouldn't believe how wickedly smart and funny they both are. (just typing that makes me weep) I want more time with them, so much more time with them. And I don't mean tomorrow or this week...I mean I want more years with them. And I believe that H4C can get me more years with them.

The way it feels in my body is that my oncologist was showing me my end and therefore creating a crippling devastation inside me...but H4C is showing me some light at the end of that dark pharmaceutical tunnel, creating a hopeful happiness in my bones.

I believe that H4C can give me more years, I really do.
