SITUATION:
One year ago, there was a wrestling club in Jacksonville that a lot of local and military kids were a part of. The head coach was a Marine and got orders to California and the club shut down, leaving the kids with no where to practice.
All coaches and some parents have donated their personal strength training equipment, but we need more.
MISSION:
To provide the local youth with a facility to get stronger mentally, physically and become the number 1 ranked wrestling club in the state.
EXECUTION:
A group of dads from that team got together and developed a plan to start a new club in the area. The daunting task of tracking all of our son's teammates down was not easy. Carl Kriebel took on all the financial responsibility and secured a large facility and outfitted it with brand new wrestling mats. Carl reached out to 2 assistant coaches from the previous club, Coach Tom Geist and Coach Neil Fucci. He also reached out to former All-Marine wrestling team coach Matt Goodman. Together, the 4 wrestling dads/coaches built a wrestling club where the kids could be a team again and BeastWorks Wrestling Club was born.
In less than a year, BeastWorks wrestlers earned 16 individual state titles and placed 4th in the state out of 90 teams in the NCWAY and USA wrestling state tournament!
Here's the kicker... the team accomplished all of that with no strength training program in place! Also, we now have other parents helping with the program and keeping our wrestlers focused.
FUNDS RAISED:
We plan on using the money raised for new and used strength training equipment! We have developed a killer strength training program for wrestlers of all ages and we are getting more and more kids in the room wanting to train.
