Strength Through Struggle: Brian Thomas' fighting the battle
Donation protected
Brian Thomas reflects on his life, acknowledging that not everyone's journey ends as expected. Born in Trinidad, he moved to Brooklyn at 15, joined the Army at 17, and later became a Miami Dade County firefighter. After 29 years of service, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Despite chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer has since spread to his pelvis, rib cage and spine. BT is currently diagnosed as stage lV. Facing immense challenges, BT is often overwhelmed with fear, defeat and physical pain; but he continues to fight with the support and motivation of his wife, children, and close friends. Their love and encouragement give him strength as he navigates his battle with cancer. He still prays for strength and the well-being of his loved ones and shows up to support his brothers in their own moments of need.
His story is one of resilience, community, and hope. Today, I am asking for your help to show our brother that he doesn't stand alone. We humbly reach out to you with a heartfelt request for support for one of our own brave firefighters. An individual who is courageously battling cancer, who has selflessly dedicated his life to his family and protecting and serving our community. We are seeking donations to help Brian with his ongoing medical expenses, treatments, and alleviate the financial burden on his family during this trying time.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in his fight against cancer. Your kindness and generosity will serve as a beacon of hope and strength to someone who has always been there for us in times of need. Prayers are welcomed, too.
Thank you in advance,
