Strength in Unity:Helping PFC Dizon Fight Against Lemierre's
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Zinna Palo, and I am raising money for PFC Dizon and her family.
PFC Dizon, aka MJ, is an awesome soldier with a loving personality and a heart of gold. She is always willing to work hard and won't stop until the job gets done. Whether at home, school, or work, MJ is the one person everyone can rely on.
On April 22, 2024, MJ was admitted to the hospital while performing military duties.
Between April 23rd and 24th, her conditioned worsened. She was placed on life support and transferred to Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her family was notified and immediately flew out from Texas and Arkansas to be with her. After multiple tests and exams, MJ was diagnosed with Lemierre's Syndrome.
Lemierre's Syndrome is a rare disease that occurs most commonly in young, healthy adults. Diagnosis of Lemierre's is confirmed by identification of septic thrombophlebitis (inflammation of the wall of a vein) of the internal jugular vein and growth of anaerobic bacteria on blood cultures. MJ's treatment involves antibiotic therapy and blood transfusions in hopes that her vital signs will return back to normal and be taken off of life support.
The money raised for this fundraiser would be used towards transportation and lodging expenses for the family, as well as any remaining medical expenses that may not be covered.
MJ's family thanks you all for your continued love and support you have shown. Let's keep sending those positive vibes to MJ so she can return back to us in a well and healthy state.
