Hi all,
I am reaching out today to share some difficult news about our dear friend and colleague, Mai Lee, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. As Mai embarks on this challenging journey, we are reaching out to the community for support.
Mai has been an invaluable member of our team at the UC Davis Emergency Department for over 15 years, dedicating herself to providing compassionate care to our community. Her commitment and unwavering dedication have touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues alike. Mai's commitment to her work goes beyond the call of duty; she has been a strong mentor for staff, a steadfast advocate for her patients, and a well-respected leader within the Hmong nursing community.
Now, as Mai faces this unexpected battle, it's our time to rally around her and give back. As a result of this heartbreaking news, Mai is unsure how long it will be before she is able to return to work, facing not only the physical and emotional toll of her illness but also the financial burden that accompanies it. As we all know, the financial burden of medical treatment can be overwhelming; therefore, we want to ensure that Mai can focus on her health without worrying about financial stress.
As Mai's colleagues, we are determined to support her during this challenging time. We believe that no one should face such a battle alone, especially someone as cherished, loved, and respected as Mai.
That's why we are launching a fundraising campaign to support Mai during this difficult time. Your generous donations will help cover medical expenses, transportation costs, and other necessities as Mai undergoes treatment and recovery.
Mai has dedicated her life to caring for others, and now it's our turn to care for her. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in Mai's life. Together, we can ease her burden and show her the love and support of our community.
Please consider donating to Mai's fundraiser and sharing this message with your networks. Your kindness and generosity will make a world of difference to Mai and her family during this challenging time.
Thank you for your support, and please keep Mai in your thoughts and prayers.
