When we become a parent, our main goal is to provide a healthy life for our children, and the first 6 months of life I thought we had one. But I was not prepared for what was about to come next.
Hi, my name is Samantha, a 32 year old mother to my 2 year old son Anthony Brown. Despite Anthonys set backs, he is a happy go lucky, silly, loving boy who enjoys life to the best of his ability.
Anthony has multiple diagnosis including cerebral palsy, metatarsus adductus, non-verbal autism and physical developmental delays. We are currently waiting for another devastating diagnosis- epilepsy.
Anthony sees several specials in order to closely monitor his development and consistently work on solutions to give him the best quality of life possible.
Unfortunately Anthony is unable to walk, unable to talk, crippling from the inside out, experiences chronic pain every day, as well as absence seizures. Sometimes this can be very emotional and difficult because he can not communicate these things, so I am left only guessing what is wrong during those hard moments. The much needed appointments are able to give Anthony the best shot at life in hopes that one day, he will have the full capability to live an independent and successful life. Because these appointments are in Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton and even Halifax. A vehicle is no longer a luxury but a dire need and necessity. I am a single mother and don't have a large income.
I do not own a vehicle but thankfully have had access to a vehicle through the Car Village Share Program. Up until now it has been a great privilege to utilize the program. Unfortunately with just 2 weeks notice, the program is shutting down indefinitely.
By receiving support from our go fund me page. I will be able to buy a SAFE and reliable vehicle that will take us to appointments and treatments. This will allow him to continue to develop and grow at his unique pace.
So now is the time to ask my village for support, love and understanding toward Anthony's developments and way of life.
Please become apart of our journey.
