Strength in Unity: Fundraiser for Damien to fight cancer

Hello everyone, my name is Jaclyn and I've created this fundraiser to help my fiancé Damien and our family through his fight against cancer. 18 months ago he was diagnosed with stage 2 brain cancer and was given 5-7 years to live, and sadly the progression of cancer has taken a turn for the worst.

Damien is the main provider in our family as a business owner, that he'll have no choice but to shut down because of the daily struggles he faces everyday with his deteriorating health. Unfortunately being in construction has progressed his illness rapidly and is far to hard on his body these days.

Damien has supported me through single parenthood, and has taken on the role of raising my children, his two step daughters, as his own. This man has been taking care of us and has made the biggest impact in my life so now I would like to do the same for him. He has changed mine and my daughters life forever by showing our girls what a positive, respectful role model is. He is the most amazing step father I could of ever asked for, to share our lives with.

Damien spends everyday working hard to provide for our family since I've met him, and sadly with the progression of his cancer he's spending more time in the hospital and we've both faced loss of work to this. The stress and struggles we face lately are impacting his (and our family's) physical, emotional, mental health and wellness.

Damien was a professional kick boxer, successful business owner, and the most loving man I've ever met! I've watched him have to give all this up due to his illness, and yet he still sacrifices to fight this diagnosis and keep us going to the best of his ability. He has tried his best in life, but now we face the hard truth that it's time we need to focus on his health and end of life care which I pray with this fundraiser he can enjoy this chapter as best he can.

With that being said, we are desperately asking for help as our medical bills , and home bills are piling up. Also to help the cost of additional care (in home nurse/palitive care) and anything to make him comfortable. Damien has made a big impact in the martial arts and BC car scene, has touched the lives of many in a positive way and I love this man till death do us part, so please consider a donation so he can be at peace during the rest of the time he has left with us.
