On behalf of the entire Minter family, we want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! To those of you who were kind enough to take an additional step and donate to Twane’s journey to recovery, thank you! We can’t say it enough—each of you has played a major part and shown what friends and family are truly all about.
Great news! As of Friday, September 20th, Twane was discharged from in-patient rehab. We picked him up that afternoon and took him to my parents' place, where he will be staying as he continues to recover from his stroke. His mood and energy have already improved—not that he wasn’t happy, but three months in the hospital and rehab can take a toll on anyone. On Saturday, he woke up to a warm welcome from his son and other family members, all of whom were beyond excited to see him!
The journey to recovery is just getting started, as Twane works to regain strength in his right arm and leg, and to restore his speech through what will be a rigorous rehab schedule each week for the foreseeable future. That being said, we are hoping to hit our initial goal on GoFundMe. If you can, we’d greatly appreciate your consideration or donation. Please know that 100% of the money will go to Twane! If you would like to send an e-mail or message to Twane please don't hesitate to reach out.
Wishing all the best to you and yours!
Much love,
The Minter Family

Hello Everyone,
The entire Minter family would like to thank you for your overwhelming support upon hearing the news of Antwane's stroke. To those of you who donated, sent emails, and, most importantly, to all of you who are praying for Antwane to have a speedy recovery, we are deeply grateful.
Antwane is currently working every day to get stronger and regain his cognitive and physical abilities. The road to recovery will no doubt be tough at times, but there is no one stronger than our boy Twane! Already, within the first couple of weeks of rehab, he is starting to talk, laugh, and smile, which is warming all of our hearts.
Again, THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING. Please continue to send your emails, calls, texts, and prayers for our boy. Thank you for showing up for Twane!
Much Love,
The Minter Family

Last month, tragedy struck when our family learned that Antwane had suffered a stroke and was in the hospital. He was rushed to the ICU, where the medical staff performed several surgeries to save his life. After these procedures, he remained in the ICU for weeks while his condition was evaluated and his body began to recover.
Two weeks ago, Antwane was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital, where he will spend the next few months working to regain his physical and cognitive abilities. As you can imagine, Antwane has a long road to recovery ahead, and he will be working closely with medical professionals to get back to his old self. That said, Twane is receiving positive feedback from the medical staff and is well on his way.
Several friends and family members have asked for a way to contribute to Twane's recovery journey financially, so we are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of his inability to work, however long that takes. The funds will be used for the following:
- Living and childcare expenses
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
We are starting the #strengthfortwane campaign, so if you would like to send some love or words of wisdom that we can share with him, please feel free to message us here. Your support means the world to us, and the community of friends and family rallying behind Twane will make his journey that much easier. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Much Love,
The Minter Family
