We are reaching out to ask for your support for our friends Kim & Kevin McVeigh and their family, following a tragic family emergency.
The Situation:
- On May 14th, Kim's middle son, Brendan (2025 New Fairfield High School Graduate), was a passenger in a severe four-car accident in Virginia.
- Brendan Suffered severe head trauma and a fractured skull. Following an emergency craniotomy, he remains unconscious and is currently fighting pneumonia and an infection.
- He recently began breathing on his own and has shown minor involuntary movements.
The Family's Impact:
- Kim is at the hospital in Virginia balancing her son's crisis alongside her own health challenges.
- Her youngest son, a New Fairfield Elementary School student, is traveling back and forth between Connecticut and Virginia.
- A room at the Ronald McDonald House has provided some financial relief, but the road ahead is long.
Kim is a deeply compassionate mother and colleague who always carries her burdens privately. Facing a long, uncertain timeline, she has graciously allowed us to provide support to help cover expenses towards travel, food, & hotels.
