Supporting Terrance, Melodee & Their Family

Meet Terrance and Melodee, devoted parents to three beautiful children (ages 14, 9, and 3). For the past five and a half years, Terrance has shown incredible strength while undergoing dialysis for severe kidney failure. In recent weeks, their family was taking hopeful steps forward as Terrance began the process to be placed on the kidney transplant list.

Tragically, on the morning of December 10th, Terrance was found unresponsive in their home and rushed to the nearest hospital. Doctors quickly determined that he had suffered both a heart attack and a stroke, along with a severe septic infection in his lungs. Due to his inability to breathe on his own, he was immediately intubated and sedated.

Over the following days, additional critical medical complications were discovered. Terrance was transferred to another hospital and admitted into the Neuro ICU, where doctors were able to stabilize his vital signs and begin intensive treatment. It was later determined that the infection had begun traveling to both his heart and his brain.

On Saturday, December 13th, the medical team concluded that his condition required an even higher level of care. Terrance was transferred out of state to another Neuro ICU with a more specialized team. At this time, he will require both heart and brain surgery, but doctors are first working to bring the infection under better control before moving forward. While he has shown subtle signs of progress, there are still many uncertainties regarding his prognosis. The family is truly taking this journey day by day, update by update.

Melodee and her family remain steadfast in their faith, trusting that God’s hand is upon them and actively at work in this situation. Continued prayer is deeply appreciated and needed.

Terrance and Melodee are a two-income household, and with Terrance hospitalized and Melodee unable to work while caring for their children and traveling back and forth to be by his side, the financial burden is becoming significant.
