Strength for Super Paiyton
14 months ago Paiyton wasn’t feeling well and we took her to the ER and we got the unfortunate news no parent should hear. Your child has cancer. Then we found out she has a super rare and aggressive cancer that they say can’t be beat. Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. They said that they could treat with with chemo but not to expect too much. Well then after many rounds of chemo they were surprised to see that treatment was working and better than they thought. Though she was still considered terminal. Then after more chemo and more scans they found the tumors were still responding. So that put her back on track for a surgery in Salt Lake. We got the surgery and came home and did radiation. Unfortunately all this treatment has taken a massive toll on her little body and we have hit some hurdles. She has lost most of her weight and muscles. We have a Feeding tube in place but have to check labs frequently and try to get her weight back up to be able to continue fighting. We have now several trips to Boise every week for bandage changes and labs. Paiyton is on a new medication that she really needs to help her get her strength back. We are trying to live the best life we can with our Little Paiyton and keep her happy and strong. We are a family of 6 so bills, groceries and gas have become very hard, anything helps. We greatly appreciate prayers and all the support. Thank you and God Bless.
