Update:

Kurtis has been brought out of the induced coma and was extubated. He is conscious and has been able to speak and recognize his loved ones. He is slowly starting a phase of recovery but there are still many unknowns. We are overwhelmed by the support, kind words and prayers for our family. Seeing this village of family and friends to come to his aid is truly awe inspiring. Our gratitude cannot be expressed in words.

Hi, my name is Emily Whalen and I am fundraising for my brother Kurtis Wolfe. He is a 33 yr old who has unexpectedly had a cardiac arrest. He is currently under care of the ICU. What started as a normal day turned into a fight for life. Thanks to quick medical response and incredible doctors, Kurt is still with us — but the road to recovery will be long, uncertain, and costly.

Kurt is currently in the ICU and facing weeks or even months of medical treatment, therapy, and time off work. The physical, emotional, and financial strain is heavy on Kurt.
