Aubrey here, Kestrel (Gavin)’s oldest sister. This past week, Kestrel was admitted to the ICU recovering from emergency brain surgery with several internal injuries and broken bones. They were hit by a car on their bike on the way to chess club.

Currently in a coma, Kestrel has indicated some responses, but much is unknown at this time until the swelling goes down.

Their adoptive mom, Monica, will need co-pays, medical expenses, and funds covered in general to stay afloat the next several months.

Kestrel is the most beautiful person I’ve ever loved. I could talk about them forever. They have so much sentimentality, free spirit, and love in their soul.

As you may know, our birth mother and eldest sister passed away when we were teens. With that said, this period of time is incredibly traumatizing and sensitive for all of our siblings and family.
