After 10 months of searching for answers, Kali and Josh finally came to Texas Children’s Hospital, where the doctors are slowly beginning to piece things together. Their little Jonny has a rare neurological condition involving focal seizures and infantile spasms. Right now, they are starting a high-dose steroid treatment to see how it affects the brain lesions seen on his recent MRI. Depending on how he responds and what another EEG shows in 2 weeks, he may be a candidate for brain surgery. He was also born with something called Nevus Sebaceous on his face and scalp. They will explore more into that as well since this could all be linked together.

This journey has been incredibly difficult—emotionally, physically, and financially—but they’re so grateful to finally be in a place where they’re getting clearer direction and a plan forward.
