Hi everyone! Tomorrow, Amelia will be going in for surgery to remove her shunt and some damaged tissue in her lung. We're praying everything goes smoothly and that she recovers quickly!
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. It really means so much! The support and donations Shelby and Laird have received already have been absolutely amazing, and there's never any pressure at all to give, but this page is posted in case of anyone who wants to! Thank you all for the continued love and prayers!
Amelia has been the happiest baby, and it's so fun watching her grow! Please enjoy some photos of her from her first 5 months of life. She is the best baby girl!!

Hi family and friends!
As you may know, Shelby and Laird just welcomed their baby girl, Amelia Jean Waller, to the world a few days ago on May 9th after a long and difficult pregnancy. At Shelby's 20-week anatomy scan, they discovered Amelia had congenital pulmonary airway malformation in her lung. They would then have to travel to Minneapolis or Sioux Falls each week up until she reached full term. This resulted in lots of work days missed, gas tank fill-ups, and obviously a plethora of medical bills.
A week later, after trying steroid shots and them not working correctly, Shelby had to have a shunt put in through her stomach to reach the baby in order to potentially shrink the lesions in her lungs. This shunt is still in Amelia currently and will need to eventually be removed along with 1/3 of her lung that contains the affected tissue.
Shelby and Laird have endured so much anxiety and pain throughout the last 20 weeks. We are so happy that Amelia has arrived and seems to be doing great! She has spent her first days in the NICU and is making promising progress! However, we know there is still so much unknown to come, and we would like to make this financial and mental burden as easy as we possibly can for them. If you can make a donation (whether it be $1 or $100), it would mean the absolute world to Shelby and Laird.
