Alfie's Story
Alfie is my nephew, the beloved middle child of my sister Marion and her husband Stu.
On May 14th, Alfie celebrated his 18th birthday – full of dreams, laughter, and plans for the future. Just weeks later, life changed in a way none of us could have imagined.
Alfie has suffered two major strokes at just 18 years old. The second one left him with significant right-sided weakness, and although he’s begun to slowly regain some movement in his arm and leg, the journey ahead is long and uncertain.
Alfie isn’t just any teenager. His true passion is being behind the wheel of a four-wheel drive and getting under the bonnet to fix up engines with his mates. It’s what lights him up, and it’s what he’s determined to fight his way back to. Every physio session, every bit of rehab, every hard day is driven by that dream — to return to doing what he loves most.
Alfie’s recovery will require:
Intensive specialist physiotherapy and rehab
Medical equipment and support at home
Travel and accommodation costs for his parents so they can be with him every step of the way
Time, patience, and love – but also financial support, which is where we need your help.
By contributing, you’re not just donating money – you’re helping Alfie chase his dream of getting back on the road, driving his four-wheel drive and working on cars with his friends. Every pound will go directly towards his care, his recovery, and supporting his family as they walk this path with him.
Even the smallest gift, whether it’s a donation or sharing this page, will make an enormous difference.
