As most of you know, my mom Cindy has been fighting her health over the past few years. After the doctor found that her widow maker was 98% blocked, she has had 2 stents. Due to being diabetic, her kidney function severely declined after her stent procedures, which caused her to have to endure kidney dialysis treatments. Unfortunately, these didn’t improve her function . She ended up having to go from 3 days a week to 7, but she’s been able to do it from home for the past 6 months. With that being said, dialysis takes an even harder toll on your heart. She has been in and out of the hospital, and we ended up getting some very devastating news this past week. Her heart is barely functioning at 20% and her kidneys have completely failed. There is too much damage in her artery where the stent is. The doctor said there isn’t anything that can be done and her heart could stop at any time. She’s now on oxygen. She has become so weak she can’t walk and she just wants to sleep.

Brian has been a complete rock for her; he hasn’t left her side. With the back and forth from the hospital, doctor appointments, and being her caregiver, he hasn’t been able to work and has used up all his sick and vacation time. We want to alleviate any stress on him with bills and medical finances as we can so he can concentrate on spending this time with my mom.

We are all completely shattered and wish this outcome was different. My mom has fought all her life and beat all odds. Doctors told her she couldn’t have kids; well, here I am ❤️ the proudest daughter! Doctors told her she wouldn’t make it past 40; well, she celebrated her 68th birthday this past week!! She’s always been a fighter! The strongest woman I know!!! The best mom, grandma, daughter, sister, niece, and wife!
