Our family is facing an unimaginable and sudden medical emergency. Emily, a loving, caring, and beautiful 24-year-old young woman, was healthy one day and hospitalized the next. A rare and random medical condition has caused a severe infection that is attacking her body from the neck down, leaving her paralyzed and fighting pneumonia.

Emily is currently on a ventilator because she cannot breathe on her own and is also receiving nutrition through a feeding tube. Just days ago, she was working, living her life, and even taking time to make Christmas candy bags for her coworkers. Now, instead of celebrating the holidays, we are asking for prayers for her strength, healing, and recovery.

As a family, we are doing everything we can to support her, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Emily’s mother is a devoted single parent who works two jobs, cares for a disabled family member, and now faces mounting medical expenses, rent, household bills, and Emily’s car payment—all on her own. She has never been one to ask for help, but we are reaching out on her behalf so she does not have to choose between being at her daughter’s hospital bedside or working nonstop just to stay afloat.
