My name is Emily Romain (Conover). My sister, Hannah Conover, was in an extremely severe car accident that caused breaks to her pelvis, both legs, both ankles, her left arm, hip, and back. As well as a fracture around her eye socket, a broken nose, and a small brain bleed. Also, due to the impact all her abdominal organs were pushed upwards into her chest cavity which caused her peritoneum and diaphragm to rupture. The pressure of displaced organs then caused her to also suffer a collapsed lung. She will be needing long term medical care and physical therapy moving forward, and does not currently have health insurance, though my parents are working on helping her apply for medical financial assistance. We are trying our best to make things work financially, however my family, my husband, and I will also be needing extended time off of work to be by her side. If you feel so led, please give, anything helps. Your donations will primarily go towards Hannah’s medical expenses and advanced/ongoing therapy costs, helping her to pay off school loans and credit card debt while she is unable to work, the purchase of a new car when she is able to drive again, and potentially some type of handicap accommodations in her living space. I started the fundraiser for my sister, but the funds will be managed by our mom, Melissa Conover, as she will be the primary person at Hannah’s bedside day to day, advocating for her throughout this ordeal. Please pray for our whole family and especially my beautiful sister, Hannah, as we begin this journey of recovery with her. God bless you.
