Street Dogs of Baja - Sanctuary needed!

More information at our website: http://www.streetdogsofbaja.com
Street Dogs of Baja is a non-profit venture created by Matthew and Deborah McReynolds to raise funds and awareness of the plight of homeless dogs in Baja California Sur. The goal is to raise enough money to build and maintain a dog sanctuary in La Paz.
This sanctuary will provide housing, food, and medical care for street dogs. Partnering with other established organizations we will help alleviate the over-taxed foster care system and support finding forever homes for these animals. Together, we can save dogs!

• All dogs that arrive at the Lena May Dog Sanctuary will be housed until adoption or end of life.
• All dogs will be spayed or neutered, with a complete medical checkup.
• 50% of space will be allocated to long-term care dogs that have little chance of adoption.
• 30% of space will be allocated to short-term adoptable dogs. (Puppies and desirable breeds)
• 20% of space will be allocated to emergency dogs. These dogs are in dire physical need of a safe space to receive medical attention. After recovery, they will be moved into either long- or short-term care.

The issue of homeless dogs in Baja will require multiple groups working together. Education spayed or neutering, adoption, and long-term housing are the tenets of a realistic and workable solution. The Lena May Dog Sanctuary will be a support system for other established organizations to help solve this issue in Baja California Sur.
