Hi, I am Corinne,

I have always been passionate about animals, and since living in Turkiye I have dedicated my spare time to enhance the lives of the street animals of Kusadasi.

Sadly, since the new government legislation was introduced throughout Turkiye in March 2025, many street dogs have been either killed, or collected and placed in under-funded government shelters which are over crowded and rife with disease.

The animals that were living on the streets in the care of H A L O (Helping Animals Living Overseas) have now had to be placed into private shelters. Whilst this is costly, it is essential to keep the dogs in a safe and healthly environment to give them their best chance of adoption.

My goal is to swim the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) over 30 days, to raise much needed funds for the dogs that are currently in our care - Jenny, Mabel, Frankie, Ed & Betty.
