Stray Cat Society Café & Lounge – Coming to Redding, CA!
A cozy cat café with a mission to heal.
We’re building a warm, inviting cat café where people can sip coffee, unwind, and connect with adoptable cats - right here in Redding! But this isn’t just about cute cats and comfy couches.
Our long-term vision is to create a healing community space that supports:
- Homeless and rescue cats in need of love and socialization
- People in trauma and addiction recovery
- At-risk youth and caregivers
- Seniors facing isolation
- And more...!
We're inspired by places like Crumb & Whiskers + Chico Cat Café—and we want to bring that same magic to Shasta County.
> Where We’re At Now
We’re in the startup phase and need help with:
- Renting a commercial space (our goal space is located on Market St. in Downtown Redding, CA)
- Creating a safe, beautiful cat lounge
- Buying supplies (furniture, litter boxes, café gear, etc.)
- Covering initial licensing & staffing costs
We plan to grow into deeper partnerships and community programs... but first, we need a space to make it all happen!

Cats are more than cute... they’re calming, therapeutic, and deeply healing. Studies show animal companionship can reduce depression and anxiety, as well as, support trauma and addiction recovery.
We want to build a space where both people and cats get a second chance at connection.
