Welcome to our pack!

We are Victoria Aucoin (Canada), Beth Henderson (UK), Pablo Cordedda (Guatemala), Libby Karabelas (USA), four friends based in Panajachel, Guatemala.

We bonded over our fur-midable love for dogs and lifelong dreams of establishing a dog foundation that could change the lives of our four-legged friends in need. Our passion for animal rights is what fuels our commitment to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome as many dogs as we can from the streets of Guatemala - the country we all call home.

The number of street dogs in Guatemala is rapidly increasing, with little means to sterilize, provide veterinary care or find forever homes. That’s why we started Stray to Stay: we believe every dog deserves a loving home and every wag of the tail tells a story of hope and resilience.

Our journey is just at the beginning, but we are dreaming big! We have rescued a handful of puppies and dogs already, rehabilitated dogs with severe bladder infections, broken legs, mange, intestinal parasites and more, and rehomed a selection of our rescues around Guatemala and further afield. We are eager to continue on this path of helping street dogs in Guatemala, one paw at a time and so invite you to join us on this bark-tastic journey...
