As you can see we’ve made it to our goal!! If you would still like to donate, the extra funds will go towards spaying and first year shots for this cutie!
Hello!
I am reaching out to you because I found a stray kitten under the 270 bridge in Frederick. While driving from Buckeystown pike in Frederick Md, I was merging onto 270 when my mother notice an animal.
We quickly turned around and pull onto the shoulder. We were able to grab the kitten from the highway, but noticed she seemed injured and quite young. We took her to an emergency vet clinic near us called VetUrgency and had her examined.
There, we were told that she is 6 weeks old, 1lb 2ozs and has multiple fractures in her left front leg.
The vet said the way the fractures were and given how small she is, that she could not have been hit by a car. They assume that she was thrown from a car and landed on the left shoulder, causing the breakage. The vet told us the only way to fix the leg was to amputate it. They informed us that the amputation and X-rays could cost anywhere from $700-$2,000.
We are very upset that an individual could have done this to an innocent kitten. We wish we could do more. We are not financially able to help this kitten, but want to help anyway we can. We are working with A Place for Grace and fostering this baby until she is healthy enough to be adopted. We are hoping with your help, we can raise the funds to pay for her surgery and get her healthy and adopted!
Thank you in advance! Anything will help!
