Hello! My name is Julia and I’m currently on a longer vacation in the Philippines. I’ve been here many times before and my heart always breaks for all the strays on the streets… I’ve been thinking about what I can do to help and now decided to actually do something, thanks to the puppies on the pictures.

I want to help as many stray cats and dogs as possible and I will make sure everything donated goes towards that cause. I’ve already started by trying to find loving homes for these puppies which proved to be harder than expected since the animal shelters here is already over their capacity… I’ve found one person that was able to pay for the costs around the puppy themselves, but if someone can give a good home but lack the funds for sterilization, vaccines and so on I want to be able to pay for that in order to save all the puppies.

Since there’s so many strays it can be very hard to find homes for them, especially for the adult dogs. I also don’t have the money to help every dog and cat I see but if you want to contribute I can help support local animal friends, help pay for veterinary care and such.

My plan is to start by helping these pups and their mom and after that any stray that is in urgent need. There’s so many but most of them are managing at least.

I also have friends here that are able to help with distributing any funds that comes in after I leave the country.

Of course the biggest goal would be to have to leave the country and come back on a visa that allows me to help start a non-profit sanctuary for all these animal. The dream is a big lot separating the cats and dogs but letting them roam as freely as possible while getting food, vaccines and sterilization. But to keep things realistic I put a goal of 10000kr to hopefully be able to help some at least.

If I’m not able to help any myself with the funds raised I will find a good, reliable non-profit organization down here to give all funds to. Meaning one way or another the funds raised will go to the stray animals here in the Philippines.
