Mama Cat and Kitten Veterinary Expense Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name’s Tyler, and I hope you’ll pitch in to help Abby, one of my closest friends, and her ailing cats and dog through some difficult financial times. It started when the unhoused cats her family looks after were attacked by a wild animal. A little kitten named Dogen and his mother cat, Kairi, were the most violently victimized. Dogen is this playful and gentle kitten that loves being held, suckling on your shirt for comfort and purrs like a moped. Dogen's mom, Kairi, is the most loving, affectionate, and patient mother imaginable. Neither of them deserved the terrible attack that left Kairi blind in one eye and Dogen limping due to permanent nerve damage. After the attack, Abby and her family took them in and looked after these little angels as they recovered. They even paid for the veterinary visits that, at that time, had topped over 500 dollars.
Add to that the ongoing medical issues with Luna, Abby’s service dog. On the more routine side, Luna needed a cyst on her tail drained and a rabies vaccine. And in what can only be described as a nightmare scenario, Luna recently ingested all of Abby’s prescription medicine (after Abby’s cat knocked the bottle off the table). Unable to keep her footing and drooling like crazy, Abby had to rush Luna in for an emergency vet visit (pushing the total vet bills close to $2,000 at that point). And this family already lives paycheck to paycheck, with rents almost doubling this year alone in their area. It’s just been a mess, and they could use your support.
Any leftover money will also be put towards a good cause, neutering other unhoused cats in an area where overpopulation is a big issue. Fixing Kairi alone costs 200 dollars. So if you’re an animal lover, please help Abby, Dogen, Kairi, and Luna with whatever amount you can manage--every little bit helps! And you’d be helping a family that deserves a break in what’s been a tough year for them.
