Stray cat needs emergency care
*Injured kitten needs help*
A man named Josh who recently did some work in our house texted me about this cat today that he and his family found at a park. They took him home but reached out to me for assistance after a vet he visited suggested he go to the shelter to have him euthanized (because Josh told him it wasn’t his cat and he wasn’t in the position to take on a full vet visit bill). The cat wasn’t seen by the vet.
I’ll be taking kitty to an emergency vet as soon as I get him (husband took the 70 mile drive since he was going to be in the vicinity picking up a table we bought and Josh is meeting him to hand off this baby) around 5:30 today. By the looks of the eye which I censored out of respect for those who are sensitive to graphic images, the eye may have to be surgically removed which is why I set the goal on the higher side. Josh and his family are willing to foster him until we connect with a rescue who can facilitate an adoption.
Meanwhile, donations would be appreciated because we have been hit hard with our own vet bills (most recently Halo to the tune of $2,000 last week) and I haven’t been doing many sponsorships with all I have going on personally with family needs. I do a lot of rescue I don’t post about (mostly due to lack of time) with sponsorship $ I put in reserves as my way of giving back but at this time between other rescues, TNR, & our own unexpected very costly vet bills, we don’t have the reserves needed to help this baby financially. If payment is required same day I will use a credit card so it doesn’t delay treatment while we wait for the funds to be transferred.
I’ll post updates, estimates, etc as I get them.
*** Any extra funds will remain held for other emergencies. If more is needed I will raise the goal.
Thanks in advance! This is a team effort and I’m anxious to help this little guy (we think) feel better! It truly does take a village! ❤️❤️
Much love,
