Stray cat found with badly injured leg

A neighbour had been feeding this sweet boy for weeks. When he showed up at dinner time yesterday he could no longer walk on all 4’s. This poor boy is so gentle and loving, even though he was afraid and in pain, he let us catch him and examine his paw, which turned out to be extremely swollen all the way up his leg from a bad bite, most likely from a cat fight. He is covered in multiple scars and scratches and appears to have had an old abscess rupture on his tail. He isn’t neutered and no microchip, tag, tattoo, or collar. He is also on the leaner side. This is a fate that is all too common for abandoned, lost, and stray unfixed male cats. They fight and get hurt and survive as best as they can, until one day, one injury proves to be too severe.

A friend was kind enough to open her home to him until he can be fully vetted. Despite everything he has been through, he is so full of love and trusting of humans. He is grateful for every meal we give him, and limps over to us purring every time we open the door to his room. Please help us save him.
