Keep Our Babies Warm All Winter!

Once a year, we make one large, important purchase that is absolutely essential to the health and happiness of our animals year-round: STRAW!
Straw is an excellent insulator, so we use it as bedding in the cold, winter months. Here in New Jersey, our winters can be long and harsh, but with enough straw in every stall, we can rest assured that our animals are warm and cozy, even on the coldest nights.
This is important on any farm, but it's critical for our "Robogoats" (our goats who use prosthetic devices for their mobility). Since they tend not to move around as much as a fully able goat would, they don't generate as much body heat, and they need a little extra help keeping warm! Many of them lost their limbs to frostbite before they came to Goats of Anarchy, and we believe we owe it to them to make sure they never have to suffer through the cold ever again. Only warmth and comfort for these babies!
It may seem a little early to be worrying about winter, but straw is cut during the summer, so it has to be purchased and stored NOW in order to ensure that we have enough to last! We need to purchase 1,000 bales of straw (at $5 per bale), which will last us an entire year. Will you help us keep our babies warm this winter?
P.S. Our goats also enjoy hanging out in straw-filled kiddie pools year-round! Everyone loves the straw pools!!
