About the Wing Walk

Hi, I’m Lily! On July 19th, I’ll be taking on an exhilarating wing walk to raise money for two incredible charities that are very close to my heart: East Cheshire Hospice and Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary. I had hoped to have my husband join me on the adventure but fortunately for him he’s “over the weight limit” so I’ll be flying solo.

East Cheshire Hospice

East Cheshire Hospice is a place of care, compassion, and support for those facing life-limiting illnesses. They provided exceptional care for my dad, Ron, during the final stages of his life. The hospice team not only ensured that he was comfortable and well-cared for, but they also offered invaluable support to our family during those challenging times. Their dedication and kindness have left a lasting impact on us, and I want to give back to this wonderful organisation so they can continue their vital work.

Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary

Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary, located in beautiful Barbados, is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs and cats. They work tirelessly to provide a safe haven for these animals, offering them love, care, and a chance for a better life. The sanctuary plays a crucial role in addressing the stray animal population on the island, promoting animal welfare, and finding forever homes for their furry residents.

Why These Charities?

East Cheshire Hospice holds a special place in my heart for the comfort and care they provided my dad, Ron, during his final days. Their work is truly inspiring, and I want to ensure they can continue to support other families like mine.

Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary is equally important to me. The plight of stray animals in Barbados is heart-wrenching, and Ocean Acres is making a real difference by giving these animals a second chance at life. By supporting them, we can help more animals find loving homes and reduce the number of strays on the streets.
