Alexandra, who runs the rescue center, urgently needs financial help.

She writes:

McQueen Rescues is facing the reality of having to close.

The number of rescued cats is increasing, but adoption rates and donations aren't enough to cover the costs. Having too soft a heart to say no often has left me with a €15,000 loan because I couldn't continue running the shelter and I needed a new, reliable car after my old one broke down on the motorway with 15 cats inside last summer, after only 300,000 miles!

Now the reality of future uncertainty is even more acute because I also have about 100 stray cats in the colonies every day that depend on me, since the tourists are gone! Plus, I'm spaying and neutering them to further reduce their numbers! This stress is taking a toll on my health, and I've had several epileptic seizures.

Because of this stress, my health is suffering, and I've had several epileptic seizures.

Now the reality of future uncertainty is even more acute because I also have to care for around 100 stray cats in the colonies every day, who depend on me because the tourists are gone! Plus, I'm having to sterilize them to further reduce their numbers!
