I’m broke, stranded an hour from town on a farm, and running out of everything. My car’s dead. No job. No money. No way to get either. I live alone, and right now, the only thing keeping me fed are a couple of half-starved chickens laying maybe one egg a day.
I’m not lazy—I’m stuck. If I could get my vehicle running, I’d start clawing my way back. But I can’t afford the parts, and even if I could, I have no way to get to town. My internet’s about to cut out, so I’m posting this before I go dark.
This isn’t forever. I don’t want a handout—I need a lifeline. I'm especially grateful to my landlords who've been incredibly understanding about the months of rent I owe. They've shown me tremendous kindness during this difficult time, and being able to eventually pay them back is a huge priority for me once I can get back on my feet.
What the money’s for:
Car parts (2006 Volvo XC90, gas – Pick-n-Pull salvage)
Chicken feed + basic food/supplies
Internet & gas so I can apply for jobs/barter locally
Maybe a secondhand bike so I can reach town if all else fails
About me:
I’ve got solid tech and customer service skills. I’ve been working as a contractor, which means I don’t qualify for unemployment. My previous income disqualified me from welfare—so I’ve got nothing. The food bank would help, but I can’t reach it without transport. People don't seem to pick up hitchhikers anymore
I’m physically able and willing to work. I just need a way to get to work.
If you can help—even a few bucks—it could mean the difference between sinking and surviving.
If you can’t donate, please share. That alone could change everything.
This goes without saying but I'll also take work of any kind, as long as we can figure out how to get me there.
Thank you.
