Stranded After Racially Charged Attack
Donation protected
On April 2nd, around 9 o’clock, my boyfriend pulled over to Irving in Portland because his phone died and he needed directions to the Chick-fil-A in Westbrook. We are from Mississippi, so we are not sure of our way around here. While he was asking for help, a man pulled around and began to call him racial slurs, telling him to go back to where he came from. My boyfriend and the person helping proceeded to leave the gas station and go to the Chick-fil-A. They ended up stopping at the intersection red light, and that is where the man ran from the gas station, reaching in his pants leg towards my boyfriend's car. He proceeded to try and stab him. He took off in his car, ran into a curb, then used his knife to flatten his tires and said, “Good luck getting home.” We only have one more night in our hotel room, and we have lost our jobs due to not having reliable transportation anymore. We have to replace 2 tires, 1 driver windshield, and repair paint damages. The videos can be seen on my Facebook at KeepingUp WithKp. It wouldn’t let me upload here. Thank you if you decide to help. We just wanna get back home at this point; we are now homeless.
