Stranded after Grand Canyon Fire Evacuation

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Herbie and I’m reaching out for help during a tough time.
I’ve been working this season at Kaibab Lodge, just north of the Grand Canyon—preparing meals for wildfire crews, doing housekeeping, and even assisting with evacuations during the fire threat. I’ve done my best to support others and keep things going here.
Unfortunately, my truck’s engine seized at the very start of the season. I live full-time in my travel trailer, and without a working vehicle, I have no way to move my home to the next job once I find one.
Now that the season has ended and there’s no more work available at the lodge, I’m stuck here with no transportation, no income, and no way to move forward.
I’m raising $20,000 to help me get back on my feet. Here’s how the funds will be used:
• Reliable used truck (capable of towing my trailer): $14,000–$16,000
• Registration, insurance & fees: $1,000
• Fuel & travel costs to next job: $500
• Trailer maintenance & supplies: $500
• Emergency cushion (food, essentials, unexpected repairs): $2,000
Every donation, share, and kind word means so much right now. I’m ready and willing to get back to work—I just need a little help getting there.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support my journey.
With gratitude,
 Herbie
