views but not one donation? - I am not asking for charity only a way to to get the reliable transportation that I know I can temporarily live out of and work doing deliveries in order to earn money - I can earn through hard word I have until being scammed and the loss of my vehicle, that was the breaking point, before, I could work 14 hours/day 7 days a week (service dog in tow) on my own even if there were lean times I made sure there was always at least the basics but one can only control so much and health and I chose the wrong mechanic that was my mistake I did not expect that someone would blatantly steal my money and leave us stranded.

I have always been grateful to be a self-reliant person, living on my own, mainly due to trust issues. My rule has always been to depend on myself. I have been there for others even strangers, while too often my kindness was taken as weakness, discovering too late that I left myself vulnerable. This led to me becoming more solitary and introverted. However, devasting circumstances happen and they cannot be avoided and despite how many backup plans one has some situations are too much to deal with alone and I discovered this too late. I was not arrogant because I am not wired that way but I truly believe truth and hard work would protect me and while I was able to rely on this at home it was not enough to protect us so far away from home when the worst happened. Now I am stranded with my service dog, 2,500 miles away from home. I have run out of time and money, in my worst nightmare.

I’ve survived alone my entire life — but I am where I swore I would never be, vulnerable and scared and in a state that is equivalent to hell. I am far from my home, stranded and in need of a reliable used vehicle and hopefully enough gas to get me started doing deliveries to earn the money for the long trip to get back home, and not lose everything, at this point everything is lost but if I can just get back home. It has been difficult for me to accept that I could not do this on my own and maybe I waited too late, I pray someone will read this and can relate.

Living a solitary life was not a choice more of a protection mechanism — it was simply how things resulted. I learned early that there was never anyone I could rely on, so I depended on myself. I do want sympathy; it would be nice if someone could relate as I just want to get back on my feet get home and get back to work as that is when I am happiest. When you work nonstop, you don’t have time to compare your life to others and I never needed to as nothing ever threatened my sanctuary and peaceful life until now.

But when hard times hit — the kind other people get through because they have family or friends to lean on — that wasn’t an option for me. So I did what I’ve always done: dug in and refuse to give up. What would be a setback for someone else became quicksand for me. I kept fighting, certain that if I worked hard enough, I could pull myself out like I always had before. I believed I’d come out stronger and wiser, determined not to let that weakness touch me again.

But this time, I had to face the truth: you can’t overcome everything alone.

I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but I’m at the point where we will no longer be able to stay where we are, I have no way earn enough to stabilize and save enough to get home. I made it through COVID alone, but then I was home in a city I knew, where my backup plans are but not here.

Upon secure a vehicle, I can earn based on my own effort ( a have already reactivated my delivery accounts)— I successfully did the during COVID. That alone would be enough to get us back home before everything is lost but again, I need to secure a vehicle.

I have never asked for help before, but I realize my efforts alone are not enough, I cannot do this alone, hopefully it is not too late. I’m asking now because I don’t have any other options left, and I’m hoping there are people out there like me — who understand.
