Our horses need your help!
Everyone is struggling at the moment, but please just give this a thought. We cannot close – our horses need feeding, veterinary and farrier care, they can’t (and won’t) be left standing in their own excrement. These amazing horses, who have given so much to their riders and deserve our help, can’t just be thrown aside. This means buying food, bedding, vet and farrier costs and staff wages. Other businesses can close their doors, not earning but still having rent to pay, we have rent as well as all of the other essential costs. With little to no income since last March, we have exhausted our bank account and are now at rock bottom. What choice do we have for our very special horses? We aren’t able to sell them at this time and sanctuaries are full to bursting – they can’t be left to starve!
There is financial help for many businesses forced to close, but unfortunately we seem to have fallen between two stools and haven’t been able to obtain any at this point. Hence the necessity for this fund raiser.
What does our riding school mean to our riders? For some it is a form of escape from their own problems, for others it is their main form of exercise. For many it is a sense of achievement and for the children it is their time to get closer to nature and to learn the importance of caring for another living animal. For those with disabilities, it is their chance to take part in an activity that gives them a sense of freedom and inclusivity. The benefits that we offer mean so much more than just riding a horse!
By raising enough money to save our riding school, we will also be saving the jobs of our amazing instructors, who work tirelessly in all weathers to provide quality tuition to people from all walks of life, which in many instances opens up opportunities they never knew were available to them.
We NEED to be able to open again after this lockdown, if you are able, please help us to keep our horses in the best of health, as they so deserve. Your donations would mean that our horses could stay in their homes, snug and warm with food in their bellies, which we would be eternally grateful for.
