UPDATE: The Team took first place, June 5, at the ASA Summer Spectacular! These girls were determined to win, pulling out an overall record of 5-2 for the weekend. They made it happen and never gave up ~ way to go ladies!! The entire team held a fundraiser car wash last weekend and continue to look for donations to help fund their trip to Nationals in July. The team will head to the PGF qualifier in Oregon next week.
The Salinas Storm 12U softball team, made up of twelve local young ladies has set a goal to compete in Nationals. A weeklong tournament at the end of July where some of the best teams across the nation compete for the title. Between now and July, this team will travel to play in 8-10 tournaments to qualify and earn their place to compete in Nationals.
Parents pay the season long fees for these tournaments, provide players equiptment and pay for all travel costs associated. We are reaching out to family, friends and community members to help raise funds for the Nationals tournament expenses. We believe strongly in these young women and are proud of the determination and focus they demonstrate every week on the field. Their experience in competetive sports will help them grow to be citizens who model integrity, respect and commitment throughout their lives.
Your contribution will pay for the national tournament fees as the priority and then team expenses to travel.
Thank you for your kind and generous support!
Best Regards,
The parents and players of Storm 12U,
