Storm Old Boys MND Challenge
Starting Today (1st December 2020), inspired by Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow’s incredible fight with MND, past & present players of Gateshead Storm Open Age team will be aiming to complete a collective total of 21,885.46km to raise money for MND association .
Former Storm player Scott Woods moved back home to Australia in 2019 and currently lives in Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast, QLD and another former Storm favourite, Welsh International Matty Barron now resides in Canada so the distance was agreed as the crow flies between these two with a stop off at Gateshead International Stadium.
The distance will be completed by running, walking, cycling, X-Trainer or Rowing and they aim to complete it by the opening weekend of the 2021 Super League season Mar 12-14th.
