Storm hits coffee farmer in Uganda

Hi everyone,

Stean's beans is an Amsterdam based coffee roaster that specialises in specialty East-African coffee. We want to demonstrate the potential for a sustainable and labour-friendly coffee industry. We work closely with local farmers at the coffee farm in Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda. The families we work with often have a lifelong passion for growing coffee, but despite their strong love for coffee and well-proven experience in the field, they often live a life with many challenges and uncertainties.

Heavy storms have hit coffee farmers in Uganda this week. Stephan Katongole, has lost all his coffee crop and the farm will need at least two years to recover. We want to show our solidarity for Stephan Katongole in Uganda and therefore we established this crowdfund page for Stephan. Everything that is donated will go directly to the Stephan Katongole.

Due to our close partnerships with smallholder farmers we are able to donate money to the farmers directly.
