Update: I wanted to post a quick update and thank everyone again for the kindness and support we’ve received so far. It truly means a lot to our family. After the storms with strong winds and flooding damaged our tent and soaked most of our belongings, we’ve been doing everything we can to salvage what we’re able to. The good news is that most of our clothes were salvageable, and we’ve been able to wash and dry them. We were also able to buy waterproof bins to keep what we have left dry. Right now our sleeping situation is still difficult. Because our neighbor’s house also took on damage during the storm, space has been very limited. The kids are currently sleeping in the car with us, and we’ve been taking turns sleeping on a pallet in Chris’s parents’ tent so everyone can get some rest. We are continuing to clean up, figure out our next steps, and work toward rebuilding. Every donation and share has helped more than you know, and we are so grateful for the support.
