Storm Darragh Clean Up - The Eternal Forest Trust
We are heartbroken.
Storm Darragh hit North West Wales with a vengeance last weekend and left destruction and devastation in it's wake.
Our beautiful forest which is the resting place of hundreds of people and pets, has been left devastated by the effects of the record breaking winds.
Please support us with the first phase of clearing up after the storm which will allow visitors back into the forest and enable us to facilitate immediate burials. Over 200 trees have been uprooted or damaged by the wind, at least half of which now need clearing or felling in order to make the woods safe, the work will then continue over the next year to clear and fell those away from paths or immediate danger, this is a very big job.
Our main priority for the duration of the clean up, will be to operate and work in a way that is sensitive and respectful to those who have been laid to rest here, this means that the work will be completed by our own team of highly trained professionals who always work with this in mind.
We are unable to welcome visitors or volunteers to the woods for the foreseeable future, and ask instead that those who wish to help, make a donation towards the astronomical costs of restoring our beautiful woods.
