Stories of a Lifetime
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Steven Zimmerman, a storyteller, artist, photographer, and avid personal story collector from El Paso, Texas. I'm working to preserve and share the culture, stories, and memories of our older generations for years to come.
The current project, "Stories of a Lifetime", is a 20-part storytelling experience, blending music, spoken words, visuals, and the stories of those who are seventy+ years of age, so that our younger generations may learn the lessons of an older generation.
Everything from the stories to the music will be the product of our elders. It will be their life, their stories that I will capture.
The funds will be used for travel and production costs of this project. The extra will go towards recording studio costs and manufacturing/ marketing the music (along with taxes and GoFundMe fees).
I hope the project will grow as I hope to capture more stories and artists in the community--dancers, storytellers, and singers. I dream that this work will be used in schools and preserve the legacy of our community.
I would be grateful for your assistance in helping amplify our elders' voices and uplifting this beautiful community, and we can't wait to share these stories with you!
