Storage Unit Yearly Costs

Out Of The Closet exists to clothe members of the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalized individuals in need with outfits and wardrobes that reflect their truest self.
We have received a huge outpouring of donations from the community and in order to house and store them, we pay $49 monthly for a storage unit! This unit is not nearly large enough to serve the intended purpose. Ideally we want to switch to a 10'x15' space for $195 a month. With that upgrade, folx will be able to visit out unit and actually look through clothes all in one organized space!
Any amount helps relieve some of this cost, and the more people that donate, the more opportunities we have to expand the closet and have room for people to actually visit the storage unit and pick out clothes. We do not have a "store" and aside from word of mouth, pop-ups or our future permanent racks (at colleges, health centers, shelters) this would be the only way to get clothing to those in need!
We are also in need of clothing racks so we can set up public "mini-closets" at colleges, health centers, and other safe spaces. So please reach out if you have any of those items you would like to donate!
WHO ARE WE?
Out Of The Closet exists to clothe members of the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalized individuals in need with outfits and wardrobes that reflect their truest self.
We aim to bridge gaps and provide support for other organizations with the same inclusive goals by means of comfortable, accessible, and free clothing.
Transparency Notes: Out of the Closet does not have their 501c3 (yet) and currently all funds for events, bills, units, supplies, etc. are provided out of pocket by Emily Hamann and donations when received.
