Brandi is a loving and giving mother, wife, and friend. We have watched her fight Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis since late 2011. She has always done her best to do it with a smile on her face. Her fight has given inspiration to many people.
Lately the smile has started to fade. Brandi has tried many of the standard MS medications with out satisfactory results. Her daily quality of life has continued to diminish. She can no longer take walks with her kids due to extreme fatigue and she finds it difficult to provide for her kids the way she once could.
We manage. We want more than that though. Brandi wants to be there for her children as they grow older. She worries that one day she may not be able to watch them grow older any longer. One of Brandi's common MS struggles is Optic Neuritis. She suffers from extreme headaches and temporary vision loss as her body attacks her Optic nerves. Each time this happens, we ask ourselves if this is the time it won't get better. Is this the time the vision won't come back.
With each relapse, be it Optic Neuritis or inability to walk, Brandi runs an increasing chance that there won't be improvement afterwards.
We have been given the opportunity to participate in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Therapy. This is the only chance we have, at this time, to possibly stop this disease in its tracks. This is her best shot at being the mom she so desperately wants to be.
I have to help her anyway I can. I have been by her side for 20 years now. I'm not going anywhere. So, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and asking for help.
Please help me raise the funds that will allow Brandi to participate in this Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant.
At the very least... can I get a prayer or a share?
