In fact, your Virginia is the birthplace of MORE U.S. presidents than ANY OTHER state. All were forged and grown into leaders here in this great commonwealth. Their historic homes are still here.
Your Virginia has one of the longest continuous histories among all 50 United States of America; all the way back to Jamestown.
Your Virginia saw the end of the two biggest conflicts fought in America: the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. Cornwallis surrendered in Yorktown and General Lee surrendered in Appamattox.
The HQ of your United States Department of Defense - the Pentagon, is located here in Virginia.
This land we walk on is an American Treasure and should be protected as such. Yet our local politicians disgrace George Washington's name. They accept money from northern states and agree to landfills that bring and bury other people's trash in our historic land.

New York has a popullation of 19 million. Virginia only has 8 million. Why does Virginia have more landfills per capita than New York? Now they want to build another MegaLandfill (accepting 3,500 tons of waste per day). We already have 7!
