Stop The Spread, Support Clyde's Fight Against Cancer

To someone new this is Clyde Beckford Sr, to others he is Daddy, Grampy, Husband, Uncle Clyde, a mentor and a friend. He is always quick to help out others and now he needs our help and support in his battle against cancer.

No one thought that a nagging groin pain would lead to this. Clyde is 74 years strong and was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. This is when cancer starts in the prostate and spreads to other organs in the body. The cancer has unfortunately spread to his pelvis and lower spine. Let’s stop the spread. In a blink my dad went from driving, walking and hearty eating to no appetite, and using a cane and his hand to pull his leg in and out of the car. Painful tossing and sleepless nights with no relief has been a nightmare. Around the clock ice packs and painkiller temporarily eased his pain. I’m a daddy’s girl so this was really hard to take in. And as much as I wanted to cry, I remembered my mom saying we have to be strong for him.

This has been the toughest fight of his life. Not to mention the heart wrenching impact this news had on his family and community. We all need to be strong and brave for him now. Let’s stop the spread.

My dad always had an unshakable faith in God and cancer has only strengthened his faith. He recently started a hormone treatment. My dad will have to be on some medications for the rest of his life and your support will help to cover potentially life saving treatments. Let’s come together and help Clyde beat cancer. Let’s save my dad. Let’s stop the spread.
