Stop the Smart Feeds Bright Feeds Project in Plumsteadville

In the heart of beautiful Bucks County, PA, Plumstead Township is a rural farm community where many families have lived for generations, with a rich history dating back to The Revolutionary War. We have farms that date back to the early 19th century, scenic covered bridges, bountiful fishing streams and winding narrow country roads. Now a company called Smart Feeds Tech, (dba Bright Feeds) wants to install a food waste recycling center just a half a mile from our Town Center. Hundreds of homes are within 2 miles of their proposed location. They have already created havoc for the people of Berlin, CT with the facility they built there 3 years ago. The 24 hour a day noise and foul odors negatively impacted families and businesses with a 3-5 mile radius. We can't let them destroy our beautiful town. We need to retain an attorney in order to be able to effectively keep them from bringing 300 tons a day of food waste into our town, on our narrow roads, with their fleet of overweight permitted 18 wheelers. In addition to an attorney, we need funds to pay for signs, flyers, mailings and any subject matter experts/consultants we need to bring on board. If we can't stop this project from being approved, we will suffer years of adverse effects from their harmful behavior.

This Fundraiser was created by Bob Mergner, the secretary of the organization "Friends Against Bright Feeds". All Funds raised will be transferred to a checking account created for use by our registered 501c(3) non-profit organization, "Friends Against Bright Feeds". These funds will be utilized by our non-profit "Friends Against Bright Feeds" to retain an attorney to assist us in this fight, as well as for court costs, filing fees and promotional materials.
